Direct reports: 20 Laboratory Technicians/ Supervisors.
Communicates with: Manufacturing Manager / Unit Leader. Line Leaders & operators when carrying out training. Retailers, during audits or taste panels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Audit Schedule and ensure documentation of NCR’s and corrective action is maintained to the standards required by BSI
Carry out training sessions within the manufacturing area, focusing on procedures , and assist in the reduction of stock holds.
Assist with training sessions for Basic Food Hygiene and HACCP.
Ensure statistical info, generated by the Technical Administrator, is available and used within the manufacturing area, and at Review meetings.
Take an active part in managing the departmental budget and the development of the technical team, including micro and effluent.
Participate in the development of the environmental systems within the site.
Ensure Packaging and raw material issues are dealt with in a timely manner and corrective action is recorded and reviewed.
All employees should carry out their duties in a responsible manner giving due consideration to Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures, which are part of the Integrated management System
Contribute to the health & safety of self and others by applying health and safety principles to the required standards whilst undertaking designated tasks.
