As a big brand, we’re totally committed to improving fishing industry standards. That’s why we work so closely with so many other organisations around the world, who share our commitment and have the same goals.
All of Princes Tuna is dolphin friendly because, for over 20 years, we’ve stuck to internationally recognised standards laid down by the Earth Island Institute (EII). We’re proud to have helped form the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF), working closely with some of the world’s top scientists and environmentalists to help improve standards in tuna fishing. We continue to promote the organisation’s work and standards across the industry.
We’re committed to sourcing our tuna from responsible fisheries, which are:
We’re working hard to meet sustainable standards across all our fish species, and within our range you’ll find MSC certified kippers, mackerel, salmon and tuna. We’re helping to raise the bar across our whole industry by supporting suppliers who work to this standard.
We work with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) to promote the benefits of responsibly caught Alaskan Salmon. Formed by the State of Alaska and the Alaskan seafood industry, the organisation ensures the highest standards in fishing. Their successful and respected programme is a model for fisheries management, and the quality of its Salmon is known and enjoyed around the world.
