This simple veggie filled tuna pasta bake is going to be your next favourite recipe
Tuna Pasta Bake With Spinach & Asparagus

Ingredients:
- 2 tins Princes tuna chunks, drained
- 25g butter
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 400ml milk
- 1 tbsp cream cheese
- 150g cheddar cheese, plus more for sprinkling on top
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- ½ lemon, squeezed
- 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
- 300g penne pasta, cooked to half the time of the packet instruction
- 125g asparagus spears, cut into smaller pieces
- 100g spinach Handful panko breadcrumbs
- Handful rolled oats
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions:
- Melt the butter in a large frying pan over a medium heat then add the flour and mix together to form a paste.
- Then add in the milk, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, dijon mustard, garlic granules, lemon juice, fresh chives, salt and pepper to your liking and mix together for 5 mins until fully combined.
- Add in the asparagus spears and spinach and fold into the sauce and cook on a medium heat for 10 mins stirring occasionally.
- Next add the Princes tuna, half cooked penne pasta and mix gently with the sauce then top with an extra handful of cheddar cheese followed by a handful of panko breadcrumbs and rolled oats then bake in the oven for 30 mins at 210ºC until golden and bubbly.
- After removing from the oven, leave to rest for 10 mins then serve immediately.
